So, I got this power supply for my new system, wanting something quiet. Its definitely that, but I have a question. Its got a switch on the back of it, to go from a split 12V to a combined 12V. Which would be better, given the specs of the system Vash, in sig?

The split rail will always help when OCing your system. One rail for the cpu and the other rail for the I/O.

WHAT?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

Have you seen any evidence to back this up?

I have seen quite the opposite. Split rail PSU's increase the chances of overloading, especially with SLI rigs.

In Vash's rig, he wont really see any difference on either setting, IMO.

Edit: I just looked at the specs of the 430w model on Tagan's website (the 480w model sepec sheet is MIA) Anyway, looks like the 430w Model has 28Amps on the 12v rail if set for single but 20amps on each rail if split with a max total draw on the 12v rail of 336watts, which means you can only pull 28amps if in dual rail mode anyway... So no power difference, you might see a slight decrease in ripple if set in split power mode, but I doubt that will change your overclock....
