I noticed the Shamino team use this PSU, so it must be good right? I'm in the middle of a PSU mind field and i'm still deciding between the OCZ Powerstream 520watt, Antec TruePower 2 series, or maybe even this. What's your recommendations for overclocking and stability?

I have just bought the Silverstone Zeus ST52f (i think it's called). It seems to be very well built but since I've only just received it I can't tell you much more than that!

I was hoping it (along with some nice new RAM) would ease me into 4Ghz+ territory but I'm still having trouble so I think I have CPU and/or mobo issues. Still, very pleased with the PSU though, I would've needed a new one for my next system anyway.

Wow. 4 independent 12v rails? Only review I could find was at 3DgameMan, but he likes everything. Can't find it on pricewatch and its sold out on NewEgg at $175. On sale at Xoxide for $169. (http://www.xoxide.com/silverstone-zeus-st65zf-650w-psu.html)

It does seem good fro what ive seen. Quality make.

Id still get a OCZ 520Watt though, fair bit cheaper.

Id still get a OCZ 520Watt though, fair bit cheaper. And its starting to come back in stock at a few places. Best price on the OCZ Powerstream is at
Monarch for $129. (http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=M&Product_Code=100117) Still if you don't need the adjustable (external) pots, and have a bit more in the budget for a PSU the Silverstone looks good.

Have you had the ability to compare this to a 510W SLI for PC Power 'n Coolin?

Also, how are the 12v rails distributed along the wiring harness? I am concerned that the PCI-E connects are getting a MAX of 18amps or so, which would be unacceptable for a dual G70 setup wouldn't it?

$159 from Digital Connection. (http://www.digitalconnection.com/products/power/st65zf.asp) But they have a pretty bad ResellerRating. (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller3709.html) Here's a link to a review Shamino did over at VR-Zone (http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=2094&s=2)

+12V3: Motherboard, PCI-Express = 16amps

This is why I dislike multi rail PSU's... It may be able to handle anything you throw at it now, but next gen vid cards in SLI are gunna eat 16amps for breakfast. (not to mention the motherboards needs power from this rail too)

FYI... the 150W PCIe spec for gfx cards only requires 12.5A of power on the 12V rail for the PCIe power connectors to supply two cards. For complete comments read this (http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=844568#post844568) ;)
