i can take a hint.i need a 24 pin psu for the ultra d. besides, i have had the 550 truecontrol for 9 or 10 months so its damn near time for an upgrade.
would like to spend less than $130.
the ocz 520 is highly recommended, but on newegg they show a picture of a 20 to 24 pin adaptor. is it a true 24 or what? also has the big current but does it matter that it only has 1 12v rail? i dont plan on going sli anytime soon by the way.
the antec truepower 550 II and truecontrol 550 II both are 24 pin, have 2 12v rails, 19a + 19a. anybody using one of these?
enermax whisper 2 - not sure if its 24 pin. 2 12v rails, around 30a combined, good price.
any recomendations?
venice xp90/medium panaflo

2xmaxtor 300 S0 raid 0
liteon dvdr/rw
liteon cdr/rw
54g pci card
hauppage 500mce pci

very truly yours,

I use the Enermax Whisper II. Excellent PSU. It may also be that you are looking at a 24 pin to 20 pin adapter, not the other way around.

I'm pretty sure The Powerstream 520w is a native 24pin psu.

Umm. no it is not. I notice you keep referring people to the 520, when you should be recommending the 600. The 600 is native 24 pin along with PCI-E.. More and more motherboards will be moving to 24 pin.
