guys ime having a few problems i used to put down to my A-64 mem controller. but now i tried a new A-64 3200+ wichester week 0508 and the same problems exist.

the issues were

corcair TCCD/BP stable 210mhz 2.5-3-3-6-1T, unstable 210-265 2.5-3-3-6-1T, stable 266-280 2.5-3-3-6-1T. regardless of the LDT/ DDR voltages i tried this is the case no matter what voltage bios/ cpu.
ive tried all softs of vcores. i mostly use 2.85Vdimm on my rams 2x256.
my cpu is water chilled also if thats any usefull info.

so ive finally come to the conclusion its my motherboard. its a revision A1.
ive been told its :banana::banana::banana:e and i should sell it fast.

would anyone know anything on this revision?? A1.

specs
cpu#1 CBBFD 0448 3200+ winchester
cpu#2 CBBID 0508 3200+ winchester
motherboard MSI k8n NEO2 rev A1 1.41Mod.
580W 600Wpeak hyper psu.
corsair xms3200XLPT 2x256.

thanx.

do you get memtest errors running your ram in random freqencys?? like 230-270 unstable, 280 stable?

I have a1 revision as well and seem to have trouble with HT multi of 2 and 4. With 3 I seem to be able to get to about 270 stable and above that instability. I can't even do 300*9 with 166 for mem even though I can do 10*270 pretty stable. I am wondering if I might be mobo limited. How high can you get your HTT to with the 3 multi?

yes.. 1A. its got some serious problems so ime sending it back. and that 320HTT wasnt with dual channel ram..

problems regarding my motherboard- random bios crashes/ fail bootups ect.

i think i got problems with the Ram slots..

what bios comes with the msi k8n neo2 rev 1A originally????

350HTT is my maxx unstable screenshot.

Had the same problem with my neo2, 3500 newcastle and 2x256 bh-5. Stable up to 220 with as little as 2.8v vdimm, then unstable between 225-255 regardless of voltage (booster used), but solid as a rock (for a few months  ) at 260. I dont want to sound like a pr*ck but the solution I found was to take the neo2 out of the case, carfuly place it on the floor (ensuring to use anti static foam) raise my foot up nice and high...then stamp. Whilst in the mean time ordering a dfi-sli and a shiny 6800Gt pcie.

I think the problem is due to not having enough control over the memory timmings, and one stupid auto setting fubars the whole show.

what is the most stable bios for tccd and a neo2??? all these modded bios's and revisions that don't really seem to change much leave alot to be desired in the modded neo2 bios department, im coming from a nf7-s so thats probably why i feel this way

i belive bios 1.41mod is good for TCCD, but ime not 100% sure on that

Theo404- i agree, these mobos seem to have alot of issues... but unfortunatly i have no money for a new one so it will need to be RMA'd.

Who did you buy it with (just thinking about turna around times)?

Bioses didnt help me much either. But changing the memory slots around did. Slots 1 & 2 (the ones that are supposed to be good) sucked on my board, 3 & 4 with booster in 2 was the best config. Good luck anyway!

i got my board from www.scan.co.uk .

all slots dont work verry well.. i just have to hope that the bios crashing/random reboots @ stock is a reson for it to be exchanged :(

i RMAed my board 2 months ago because the mem slots are screwed up it refuses to run 1T unless the mem clock is at 100Mhz and it wont run dual chanel. my board is also rev 1A. the rma service took a MONTH from when they got it....not from when i shipped it (and i live on the east coast) so it effectively took a month and 10 days to get my board back....and it still wont run DC or at 1T. i duno what to do. even tried updating bios

Another 1A here (might be worth checking out the date on the NB though tbh, tad wary of CPU-z's readout. This ones a 0411 malay (iirc) NB, the crappiest of the lot)

Dont appear to have any HTT issues here tbh, 200-310 seems fine. Doesnt like running dividers AT ALL though, or rather it will, but with 1*256mb stick and thats it!
Running 265*10 atm, seems stable enough, current uptime is ~ 3 days, thats with ~3 hours cs source a day, which seems sensitive to too higher OC on this board. <edit> thats run at 4* LDT btw, seems fine up to ~ 275 for benchies </edit>
For those with TCCD, it *might* be worth playing with drive strength settings. Either that or set the memory timings slightly looser and let A64 tweaker handle the fine tuning of the timings on boot.
