Will i have to reinstall windowsXP or can i just uninstall the mobo drivers and be fine? Has anyone done this? Any help appreciated

It's individually. There's a trick when installing windows, but in most of cases you'll have to reinstall OS. The driver thing won't work 90% sure.

Ok i got some tips from another forum but it seems like a p.i.t.a.:rolleyes: I'll probably just reinstall if it doesn't work the first time. Thanks!

Yeah i know it but it would have been the 3rd time i have reinstalled windows in a month. Removing all the drivers worked fine.

Most likely u will have to reinstall the OS when u go to a different chipset. Not always, though. Give it a try.

i;ve done it a few times, waht you wanna do is "sysprep" the os. its a littel invloved adn ther is a gui for it to make it a bit easier, but reinstalling hte os is hte only sure fire way. we can olny get sysprepr to work when going form one chipset to a similar one ( most recently nf3 to nf4, and stuff like the 865's to the 915) In my opinion jsut reinstall the os.

Clean install always best! :D
