Everyone knows that Lian-Li has some really nice aluminium finish that reflects like a mirror, but the biggest problem is that its very sensitive to finger prints. Each time you touch it, it becomes more dirty and loses reflectiveness. It gets worst as time passes since dust starts sticking on your sticky finger prints left on the aluminum finish :stick:

Im building a PC right now on a Lian-LI PC65B. When i finish I would like to clean up all the finger prints and stuff.

Anyone know a good technique that will clean the aluminum finish making it shine like the day it was bought.

Mothers polish (http://http://www.detailguide.com/) I have used this in the past on aluminum wheels works great. I also have black Lian my prints are on the inside mobo tray. I was gonna pick some up and use before i mount mobo.

Link doesnt work.
What home products can i use that wont affect the surface or would bring more dust with a sticky reflective surface?
Finger prints on the outside are unnoticeable. I would like something that makes the smooth interior finish reflect again and look even instead of having fingerprints all over the place.

Don't know of any home products, I'm sure there is something. I'm in the same boat you are, i just got case. Google Mothers polishes, I'm going to try some on a small hidden area tomorrow i will post back.

http://www.autogeek.net/motmagalpol.html This is what i tried.I'm going to do a bit more research on this as the polish works but is difficult to use. Any holes or cutouts such as mobo tray holes are hard to polish around. Flat surface isn't to bad but requires work.I will wear a glove next time i touch it.

I use a fine micro-fiber cloth for almost all my cleaning jobs(Cases,Screens(LCD/CRT) and CDs) works wonderfully on its own most of the time and if I have stubbon grease or something to deal with I just add a little warm water to it, i very rarely need to use chemicals for cleaning anymore becuse of these things, they are great.
