Hello,

this is my first post in this forum. I'm looking for a Socket754 mainboard that supports PC3200 Kingston HyperX KHX3200ULK2/1G (=Samsung TCCD) memory. I want to run the ram @ 200mhz 2.0-2-2-5-1T. I tried the memory on an Asus K8V-X but it did not work. I would like to buy an Asus mainboard, maybe the Asus K8N (non-deluxe). Anyone tried TCCD chips on that board? Does it work?

The issue shouldnt be the board. What CPU do you have in there? A C0 stepping clawhammer?

A DFI board would be best for 754, especially for memory tweaking. That or an MSI K8N Neo Platinum.

Thank you for your reply. The CPU is a 3000+ Newcastle.

Oh, those have good memory controllers.

Is the memory rated for 2-2-2-5? Not all TCCD can run that, as they are really rated for DDR500 2.5-3-3-7 by Samsung. If it's rated for that, I'd try an RMA. The motherboard shouldnt hold you back, as the memory controller is on the CPU.

Kingston rated it for 2-2-2-5. The Ram seems to be ok. Somebody checked it for me on a different system with the Program Toolstar.
