Hi,
I am going to be buying a setup with a lot of stuff in it, water cooling, nVidia 6800 Ultra, FX-57 (I am waiting!), DFI nF4 SLI-DR, 2 CD/DVD drives, possible SCSI, and a bunch of other little things, like 8-10 fan's, UV cold cathodes.

Will the OCZ PowerStream 600W Power Supply have enough power to deal with such an extensive setup? http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104153

The alternative (which is loud, and does not have such a good reputation) is http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=17-153-021&DEPA=1

Take care,

Here's a PSU that I've heard quite a few good things about: Zippy 600W (http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103710)

It's about the same price as the other PSU's that you're looking at, and has two +12V rails....... and I just noticed that one of the +12's puts out more power than my single +12 on my Antec 550

I'll see if I can find any more reviews or info on that PSU

The OCZ will handle it with ease, though I would wonder if the ThermalTake could even boot it.
ThermalTake is known for big numbers, low performance, and alot of noise.

I bet, not only is it loud, but it doesn't even keep cool. Pretty much the ThermalTake slogan right there.
Now that I'm done slamming ThermalTake, I would like to commend
them on the excellent LED smartfans and recent line of cases. :woot:

Ocz 600 should do the job

imo you should spend a little more and get the PCP&C 510 SLI http://www.pcpowerandcooling.com/products/power_supplies/highperformance/turbocools/510/index.htm

If you're only running one 6800 Ultra and not 2 in SLI, it's my perception that the OCZ Powerstream 520W will still be more than enough. I doubt you'll find a situation where this is proven this wrong.

Actually, the OCZ 520w will run a 6800 Ultra in SLi. If you can afford it however, I would recommend moving up to the 600.

The PC P & C 510 SLi is a nice stable option as well, but be prepared for loud at load. I got rid of mine because of the noise...

Let's not forget that most of the quality PSU makers don't boost their output rating like the lesser brands. I can guarantee that the OCZ 520w, Antec True 550 and Enermax 535w will actually ouput more than 600 watts. My old Antec 480 watter put out more than 575 watts and my new Enermax will pump out 675 watts. I believe Anandtech tested the OCZ Powerstream 520 and it's peak output was right around 700 watts.
