im gonna be ordering a hsf for xmas from sidewindercomputers.com

Im thinkin sk7 and a thermaltake fan.. and that arctic alumina (free) is good.
Unless slk600, thermaltake fan is better?

Cuz i know my mom aint gonna buy me a slk800...

the sk7 can use 80mm fans, the slk600 can only use 60mm.

also, svc has sk7s for $19.99 right now. their shipping isn't any more than newegg.

i don't think the slk800 is any harder to install than the sk7.

as for preformance, i've heard that the sk7 is better, and then i've heard that the slk800 is better. they are both VERY GOOD heatsinks, and you'll be happy with either.

It's better to go with a 80mm version because they push more air and they are generally quieter than the 60mm ones

shray I recommend you the Sk7 cause it has the wider base and you have less risk of rocking the heatsink and damaging your core. Go with a smart II fan with the money saved.

I do find that the 80mm sinks hang over the sides where the clip protudes and you lose a good bit of cfm to cooling your board parts. trade offs . . .
