go for the 6800GT. the x800pro only as 12 pipes while the GT has 12. If you want to go ati, the X800XL is only a few fps behind it.

The 6800gt has 16pipes. I would recommend an x800pro with VIVO as they have a 99% chance of being flashable to an x800xt. It's known as the poor man's XT. :D

Besides, we all know an x800xt will whip the 6800gt in almost every game. If you can't find a an x800pro VIVO in your price range, then get the 6800gt. Most 6800gts can overclock to an ultra or more. :)

Hey Morpheus could you tell me more about reflashing the x800pro? I've got one but haven't heard of the flashing trick.

It has to be a VIVO version of the card. You basically just go download the XT bios from your card manufacturer's site. It has a very high success rate. You might want to upgrade the cooling to an ATI silencer though, because it will run hotter than the x800pro (obviously).
