Crazy Steam Errors

Getting this error, then steam wont connect. Says There may be a problem with my connection.
Tried re installing steam. No go
Firewall off, no go
should I reinstall HL2?

OK so FYI. If you get this error, or somekind of conenciton error with steam and you have XFire installed. Uninstall it. I did, and now it works.

Man do I hate steam. I wish we could find those bastards that thought up that one :cord: Can anyone overclock their vid card in hl2 and still get it to play proper?

yea i play CS:S just fine im at 440/540 on my XL

yea i get all kind of artifacts on the source engine that i dont on other games and stuff, mind you thats just my £10 card i expect now when i get my hands on that x800xl....
