I broke my PCI/AGP lock and i have requested a RMA. Before i ship it out will Abit take it for that reason? It was never modded, les then 4 months old. It is a IC7-G MAX2 Advanced.

Also, if i can, are there any better boards for the credit i will have with Abit?

From what i understand, physical damage = warranty void

If by some chance it was fixed, you would get the same board again not credit for a better one :stick:

So the PCI/AGP lock is physical damage? Where? I see nothing damaged...

what he's trying to say is if you admit you broke something then you should not RMA the board. The RMA process is for defective or DOA boards that are in that state when they arrive or if they die on thier own while using them within the specs the manufacturer warrents. If you "break" something then that is your fault and your warrenty is void.

heh the AGP/PCI lock is something that can be set in the bios. I take it you tried that.
