View Full Version : Hard Drives not detected??

Hey. All the sudden my harddrives are not being detected :confused:

Here is what it says when it loads at the very start:

"Auto-Detecting Pri Master..Press <F4> to abort"

all the cables are in the right spot, and everything looks fine on the outside. I doubt that my harddrives just died because the chances are so low of them both going at the exact same time.

Help is greatly apreciated.

I dont think so....i tried 3 different cables and tried both IDE1 and IDE2 slots, but i got the same thing each time :confused:

check the jumpers :)

go into cmos double check that they are being detected. set them to auto. and check jumpers to see if they on right.

you can also try to set each as master on its own host, dont attach any dvd/cdroms and test them like that.

also check your boot order make sure its not trying to find an OS from your cd rom or floppy. I would trouble shoot by only putting your HDD in the boot.

thanx for the help...I figured out what was causing them to not be detected....turns out my psu is dying :rolleyes:
