View Full Version : Slightly Unstable?

Without changing anything except voltages, multipliers, and FSB, I have my 3500+ running at 2.75 GHz. At one point I had it running at 2.8 GHz stable but I changed some settings and I havent been able to get it to go back (even after resetting the defaults and re-doing it).
I'm using...
DDR550 TCCD
DFI SLI
Winchester 3500+
Is there any obvious setting that I should check to see if I can get it more stable? What would the next steps be?

i kind of doubt that, but maybe. Maybe mosfets were becoming marginal at that voltage. I just turned it down to 1.65, maybe that will help
Havent other people been running 1.8v+?

Okay, reducing the voltage to 1.6 seems to have made it much more stable.
I still crash once in a while when playing CS:S, but only when sounds occur. Could this be a resource conflict? Or am I still unstable as a whole? I took a look at the IRQ list and I see that three important devices are all on the same IRQ (look at 18). I also see an nVidia audio codec device that I dont recognize, which might be fighting with my sound card. I'm going to try disabling that and seeing what that does for me.
