One person that should be absolutely included is DDTUNG, as he set the world on its ear a few years ago in cooling, ability and benching prowess as well as being a mentor to OPPAINTER and myself. I'm surprised no one has considered him as of yet, I would indeed nominate him myself as he and Eric were instrumental in helping me achieve success in this hobby.

Randi:D

You are absolutely correct old capitan, sorry for forgetfulness :(

Please welcome DDTUNG as Xtreme Legend :toast:

Hats off to my Dear friend DDTUNG, I am so very happy to see you take your place as a Legend for all you've done in the past for the overclocking community, and all you've done for me:)

I just sent this off to Saaya via email, but find it appropriate to post it here:

As far as DDTUNG, he was a hell of a voltage modder in the day(still is),
and was the one to figure out the volt mods for us when each new generation
of videocards came out. He was one of the first to crack 2Ghz along with
macci and OPPAINTER. He was and always has been Eric's right hand man,
always there for us with a new tweak to squeak out the last few points to
achieve a 3DMark record. Speaking of 3DMark, he was himself a stalwart
competitor, even when not always having the fastest chip or card, could run
with anyone and to the top. Also, DDTUNG and I were instrumental during
forum discussions at Icrontic in developing the first 3DMark team and
putting it in place, which considering the boom of 3D team benching today is
a milestone in itself.

My finest achievements in 3D benching can be credited to DDTUNG, as I
adopted his mantra of squeezing the last ounce of "little" to compete with
guys that boasted much faster and higher overclocked systems. I came to be
friends with Eric and Victor during the Abit KG7 days, they were pushing the
FSB envelope at the time and I got caught up with them in it, eventually all
3 of us managed to get past 180Mhz with at the time Corsair PC2400 ram. The
three of us also were first to eclipse 200Mhz FSB I believe....and I did it
with Crucial PC2100..LOL :)

There is also one more guy that is forgotten here, a big AMD guy that was a
major competitor with macci back when I first started benching 3D.....his
name is:

Gibbo.....I would also like to nominate him as a past overclocking legend.
He did some incredible AMD overclocking against macci's P4 and AMD clocking
while also benching some great 3D. I believe he was affiliated with
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ and I believe still is.This was before the
3DMark Team concept and everyone was benching independently. He traded the
top spot on the ORB with macci and DJ on a regular basis. You can get macci's
opinion on this one too...he I'm sure can tell you some great things about
Gibbo.

Hi ya'll! It is a great honor to be mentioned here with the best of the best.

Your humble caddy will always stand behind you and the XS 3DMark Team, and my dear friends OPP and Icee and the rest.

Nowadays I've turned from a sprinter into a marathoner, running up to 30 rigs(modded and overclocked and stable, in true Xtreme style) in various DC projects. Currently XS is kicking butt in D2OL, and our goal is to be #1 by the end of 2005, even though we already have the strongest team only a few short months after formation. Do consider and join us with your spare CPU cycles.

Again, thank you all. :)

I don't know how I missed this one.

DDTUNG is a legend and a mentor to legends.

He is also a real Humanitarian.

Anytime anyone is truly in need of help of any kind, he can be counted on to step up to the plate....not only with his own very generous contributions but with ways to motivate others to help.

I can't say enough good things about DD. I admire him and he has my greatest respect, both as a computer expert and as an honorable man.

Congrats my friend....you are one of a kind!

I saw this thread a long time ago but was hesitant to post in it.
I saw the people posting and knew of their accomplishments and didn't feel comfortable posting in with "them".

The Dude said it perfectly and expressed my feelings well:

Victor: You truly are one of a kind and it's been my honor to meet you in this forum.

I didn't know he was so into the benching scene, and a master vmodder akin to Shamino. I was looking @ BOINC stats the other day, he's in the top 20 among all users worldwide, pretty amazing really.

The team is into WCG now.
You want an idea of what he does?
I have three machines on the program;
A Q6600 at 3600, a 8 core clover at 3000 and a 8 core Harpertown at 3400.
The three on a great day do 75,000 points..
Victor does app 1,150,000 a day every day..
The whole team of 200+ people does app 5.4 mill a day.
That sort of says it all..
