I would like to start a sticky on the WinXPx64 OS so that we can compile a list of good drivers, tweaks and so on.
I just recently installed it and went through about 6 nVidia drivers to get one that would work properly with my setup.
The nForce 6.25 drivers for the mobo worked great, but installing the video card drivers was another story.
67.66 for 64 bit didn't even install properly. It appeared to, but after the reboot, the settings tab wasn't even there.
71.84 installed fine, but there were no options to enable SLI.
76.71 installed fine and on reboot I got the SLI ready pop up, but when I went to the SLI section, it didn't have the box to enable multi GPU, it told me I needed two identical video cards.
76.10 installed, but I couldn't even boot to WinXPx64 until I backed my overclock down to default timings and then I could uninstall them.
70.80.......Bingo!!! All went well installing these drivers. These seem to be good drivers.

Now if Creative could get off their butts and get a 64 bit driver, I'd be set to run the OS as an every day and test it out.
I may just enable the onboard audio as I understand there are decent drivers for AC850.

Please, everyone, post your bugs and fixes, personal experiences and good tweaks for this OS.

Here you can download the OS for free from Microsoft.

Microsoft seems to have stopped giving out install keys for the OS to beta test. Since this is a direct download from MS, I will keep it up, but install keys and activation is not supported.............you are on your own as far as install keys and activation, you may have no luck.

No, they do not.

Everyone can feel free to PM me and maybe we can work together to figure out how to get it running for you. ;)

It's the final release with integrated SP1. Remember, just just copy the file to a disk, you have to select burn an image with Nero or Alcohol 120% and select the ISO file. The only problem I find with this easy to download version is it will have the text in the lower right corner stating it's an evaluation copy and I have not found a way to remove it. Still working on it.

WinXPx64 recognizes my 3 partitions as 30GB each. I have 2 Maxtor ata133 8mb cache hard drives on IDE 1. One is storage and a single 120GB partition, the other is seperated into two partitions. ANy clues?

Probably the 64 bit drivers at work. This is the main issue with x86_64 oses. The drivers seem to screw up everything.

By default, the install chose to limit the size of the disks for security......? Anyway, a simple uncheck of a box and it was resolved.
