well, I didn't see it anywhere in the thread. I checked PQI web site and they (as usual) don't list what chips are used. so I don't know, based on the advertised 2-3-3 I don't think they would be TCCD.

I have some of the single channel turbo ram 2.5-3-3-7 that I used to use.. I will see how difficult it is to remove the heatspreaders and check for you.

nada, the chips say PQI on them, numbers I can make out are
PQ4D328D5
GREEN PCB on the end reads B6U808 (Brainpower 808 pcb)
Sticker on chip 0115-04D1 MDAD-421HA

All the info I can provide after yoking the heatspreaders.

Some of the PQI ram uses Mosel chips..... If you can find any PQI with 2-2-2-5 timings that is the TCCD. The PC3200 ram with those timings are pretty hard to find these days and costs as much as any other TCCD ram.

for the pc3200 the model number goes like this pqi pc3200 1024dbu for the 2x512mb while the 2x256mb are labled pqi pc3200 512dbu. Only the dbu are tccd that I know of.

been reading, and most tccx chips use the B6U808 pcb. I found a few UTT that use it also, but most i saw was on tccx, i'll take the plunge and buy it and see what they really are

PQI3200-1024DBU (http://www.insanetek.com/index.php?page=pqipc3200dpu)

Taking off the heatspreaders, the TCCD chips are 431 F-die ICs on the highly praised 808 Brainpower PCBs

PQI also utilizes the Samsung TCCD chips in their PC3200 Turbo modules.

So is it TCCD? The PQI3200-1024DBU is TCCD and tested by InsaneTek. It performed very well, offering the same speeds as compeditors with lower timings not to mention the nice shiny heatspreaders.

Here is the TCCD chips, nearly twice the price.

I would not mind at all if it was TCC5 because it still performs very very well, many have gone beyond DDR600. Since it's been a few days have you had a chance to see how well they OC?

Thats the same thing, but missing the U at the end of the model number.
