Just wanted to get some input on the vapochill PE-
I want to buy one right now- and wanted some feedback as to how it is. I know the Proms are all the rage right now, but i attend lan parties once or twice a month and need to move the unit around a fair bit. The vapo seems ideal for this. Do they cool well ?? Running a 2.4b@ 3.1 on a IT7 Max2 ver2, with a Swifty MCW5000.

thanks!!

Mine runs fine. I had it about 2 weeks now. They are still not light.

I was running a swift 462-ut 226 watt tec. Does just as good, but no water or Powering the pelt hassles, and 1/3 the electric.

If you want colder get the prometeia though,

Thanks Tedinde-
Do you also have a Prometeia ? And if so are you getting alot higher overclock ? If so I may just go that route and figure out a way to move the thing without damaging it.

Thanks

It's very simple, just get a 2 wheel dolley with oversized inflatable tires and bungee cord it to the dolley. You can get the kind that fold up or for that matter you could use a luggage carrier.

I've got a prometeia coming one the next US shipment whenever that is in a week i hope.

I bought the Vapo for a customers computer, Works exatly as Asetek states. Temps are same as what they promise in their graph.

I'll be testing the prometeia when i get it, same chip, same board. and see.

acording to HW doctor on the abit im getting +8.5 C and the chill control says, -19.5 celsius. 1.7 volts @ 3600mhz. 60% fan. It might go 1-2 celsius colder running the fan @ 100%, but you can hear it then. Super quiet @ 60%.

I can get 3350mhz out of this chip with an alpha cooler, dont know if i'd want to haul the extra weight around for the extra MHZ for a lan set up. The vapochill case is large, the pics fool you. Mostly wide

Sorry to correct you, but it's Asetek.... not AsusTek... Asus makes board :D. Not that it really matters, but it's one of those things that irritates me.....

the temp in the LED is the compressor temp. I get around 24-25C on the compressor, and -8C idle and 0C full load on my cpu. I suggest u get a 500w or more PSU to use the Vapochill

btw is -8C idle a normal temp for a Vapochill PE? seems kinda high

Hey all

I just got my new PE Vapo and im running a 2.8 @ 3.5 @ 1.80vcore.

Temps sit at around -20 on the CC and thats reading as 2-3 degrees in the monitoring software and bios.

I was hoping for about 3.6, but it wont do it yet.....I can get into windows at 170fsb but it wont even post at 175.....:(

I might get another cpu
