This is my first time to Dry Ice...i already tried it without the computer, just too see how it worked...made it with Alcohol and Dry Ice, i asked for 10 Kg of it, so i can make benchmarks and Oc`s for enough while..the only problem is that i m afraid of the condensation...i `ve been seeing pictures and saw that some of you insulate it with "Stock exchange of consortium" Or however you say it...(Sorry for my english, i m from Argentina ) but my mind isnt safe only with that...i made a search over the internet and saw that there are some sprays that can be used to insulate electronics components like a "paint" but if i put that in a PCI slot i ll :banana::banana::banana: it off..so..thats why i m asking...what to do..i already have the Block, the Dry Ice and alcohol...just needed of security xD

sorry if u dont understand i will write it better...just leaving...cyas!

Just insulate it well w/ neopene. The tube itself and around the ZIF socket

Yep, use foam insulation around the CPU socket area and on the backside of the mobo. You can also use nail polish, to prevent against condensation, like in these pics:

The nail polish, once it dries, helps insulate. You can see I did the same thing to my 9700 Pro here, and even though it frosted over while benching, I had no probs:

Some guys, instead of using nail polish, wrap the card/mobo/whatever in saran wrap, which seems to work fine.

Well the 9700 Pro hasn't had a warranty for about...... oh, 2.5 years now :D

But nail polish is easy to clean off, just use Acetone and it comes off no probs.

so if u use nail polish then u can clean it off to use it as if u never did dry ice cooling?? if thats possible i ll do that...just one thing....i m afraid of the nail polish cost!! :p

thanks n cyas!

Yeah if you're careful and don't splatter it all over the place, the Acetone will take it off just fine. Also try not to get it on any light-colored plastic (like a molex connector), it may stain the plastic. But on a PCB it will be ok.

And LOL @ cost worries :p: Nail polish is cheap, about a couple dollars.
