After talking to you yesterday, I told one of our technicians to look into your case and send you a mail about the status of your unit.

Apparently he chose to quit his job at Chip-Con yesterday and from I can see today he didn’t send you the promised mail for which we apologize.

After contacting our suppliers who have been examining your old unit they told me that the thermal bus (the black hose) had been damaged due to, to much force being applied to it or bending it to much.

This is something which is not covered by the warranty as this doesn’t happen with normal use, see our terms and conditions:

http://www.chip-con.com/terms.asp

We could change the thermal bus, which usually cost 250 Euro, as this is the most expensive part of the Prometeia.

However since you haven’t received the usually good Chip-Con support we will be willing to reduce the price to 200 Euro – shipping, and exchange the unit to a black one for free.

Looking forward to hear from you.

I mean THIS IS SERVICE!!! :toast:
I have had to miss my unit for too long, but still...
Some other 'supercooling' (guess who :p) manufacturers could take this for a good example! :smileysex

A very satisfied customer,

Not to sure I follow the whole deal, at least your happy with it!
That is what matters in the long run, keeping customers happy and doing what is needed to do it.
Good job ChipCon.

I bet that oc-shop (http://www.oc-shop.com) would ship there. I have spent mucho dinero there (prometia, vapochill, pc-60,pc-76, watercooling, etc...). Their service is excellent and they have prommy's in stock.

How do you like the pc-76 case?

i think thats extremely poor actually, and i also think it may well be illegal if your prom is less than a year old (under EU law anything you buy in the EU is guaranteed for a minimum of 1 year).

they claim it isnt normal use, then how do you mount it on a motherboard where the chip is horizontally mounted, meaning you have to twist the evap 90 degrees to GET normal use out of it? let me put it another way, who is going to sit there and twist the evap head so far that it breaks, if they arent trying to get "normal use" out of it? people arent going to do it just for fun are they.

i think thats bull§§§§ myself and if that happened to mine and they refused to replace it, i would be straight on to my credit card company demanding a full refund due to a faulty product, because THATS what it is, a faulty, badly designed product.

A store in Germany, which was one of the first ones to sell Prommy's, has stopped selling them, because they didn't agree with chip-con's return policy. Asking 300€ to fix a broken Prommy is far to exagerated, shipping was not included in the price. You'd better be off if you buy a new Prommy then.

Luckily, PVD has a friend who can fix broken prommies... The Netherlands aren't that far! :) Well, at least something those cheese eating bastards are good for ;) (jk eh guys :))
