Guys: Windows XP x64 just came in the mail from MSDN today. So let's see what this baby can do.

Everything looked fine.... until.... I installed the nForce drivers for my nForce 3 250 GB chipset. My PiFast/SuperPi times just doubled... I went from 60 secs pifast to 120 secs pifast (stock speeds for compare).

I reinstalled Windows XP x64, Pifast dropped to 60 again.

I also checked on my nForce 3 Ultra system and had the exact same problem.
I'm using newest nVidia 64-bit drivers from their website.

Anybody else seen this problem? Anybody know how to fix it?

When I don't install my nForce drivers my sound doesn't work so that isn't an option. I tried installing only the sound but the very minimum nForce installation f uckes up the CPU performance (memory bandwidth in Sandra is fine)

Very strange deal this is.

it's a pure driver issue. the latest drivers for winxp64 are somewhere around november 2004 posted.

just wait till better driver support which i think will happen in either this month or may since Windows XP 64 won't officially be released until WinHEC April 25-27th.
