Does anyone know how to get rid of a file/program in the startup? I've already unchecked the 2 files, but I want to delete them permanently. I think its some kind of spy-ware. Do I need some kind of anti-virus software?

An ad-killer is Ad-ware I think mine is 5.62 or something but yeah, you can remove it in msconfig.

I forgot I unchecked the files in msconfig and I was searching for them in the registry. I searched and searched and then realized, "duh, if their unchecked they don't show up." Anyway, I deleted them. Thanks for the help. :)

What do you mean by cleans up? It won't change my reg. values will it? Sounds cool though.

No, if you're like me you download a lot of progs 90% of which suck, so I just delete them. then this goes along and trashes all the registry crap for them.

what it does is it testss for dead or broken keys... then it decides if it is not needed anymore - makes a back up image of your reg and then applies any changes....

Hell yeah, I know what you mean! That's what got me in trouble in the first place. I'm always downloading and deleting. Might have to give this a try.
