Hi all,
I am not sure this is the correct place to ask this question, but I wanna learn how u guys benchmarking your fps's in the games, taking demos while playing, etc?

I found two software called fraps and benchemall, and I'll try them tonight after work, but let me know if there are better-more reliable ones?

Regards

PS: is benchmarking needs complex settings, special care blah blah. This'll be my first time :)

some games include special commands you can use to benchmark the game.

other games have add ons you can use to benchmark the game, as if it were a official benchmark, like quake3, return to castle wolfenstien and pretty much any game based on the Quake engine, can be benchmarked with the quake3 add on.

(Google it, don't ask me, cause it's been a long time since I had it)

personally I like to do time demos with fraps, then able the "write to file" option, then benchmark the time demo.
this makes it so the benchmark is unique to your system, cause no 2 time demos are alike... so you can't really compare to other people, but it works good, and gives you a clear idea how you system can handle a game.
