Tried to check on some posts this morning at Hardforum and received the 'database service' message. Just tried logging in and was redirected to a "netforward" site?
Was [H]ardforum pulled?

they've been having some problems for the last couple weeks.
maybe some more of their members will get tired of it and we'll be able to recruit them to our folding team. :D

Seems that what happenned was some people figured out how to post in the rules forum, and started spamming it. They closed down the boards to fix the problem.

Update: We are on thread number 315K and there are a bit over 500K threads in our forums. I would expect the forum to be back up on Wednesday before lunchtime or so.
Yes, we are still reindexing. I would not count on this being finished today as it is a fairly large task.
Also, Registered Users that have not logged on in 90 days are going to be deleted and a couple of the forums will be pruned for age. Kyle

if you check www.hardforum.com it tells u exactly whats going on. As of now they are still reindexing
the 90day thing is wierd though. I see what hes trying to accomplish, but I know that I would have set it to 6months at least, if not a year. I think its perfectly feasible to be gone for 90days but still have the intention of using the account. Dumb move if u ask me.

well i hope they stay up. If they close there forums down, then all those noobs and trolls will come over here and over forums. Keep them in one place.

Not everyone there is an idiot, but there are far too many. Anyway, they will be back up shortly, and even if they DID shut downt he forums, kyle would reccomend a handful of forum...hell if he will point to this one :) and 90% of the idiots think kyle is god...so they will go where he points....you're safe here :D

I don't think the forum will shut down but i think it'll lose some members who are using other forums instead of hard at the moment
