http://users.telenet.be/jortcollijn/project%20dry%20ice/Gfx/gfx_container_almost_done.JPG

i am still working on it so i'll post pics asap.
waiting for my 5m tube of 2" 1/8 and other stuff :toast:

edit: don't look to dimensions, the tube is cutted several times so the actual length is going to be exact height of my cpu container.
so i've got a nice looking rig :D

i've got a system for it, atleast for my system :D
just use a cord around the cpu and gfx container and you set
http://users.telenet.be/jortcollijn/project%20dry%20ice/Gfx/bracket3.JPG

we used it with the previous dry ice run and it worked like a charm

Jort

fixed the beta container and made a fully operational gfx container of it

http://users.telenet.be/jortcollijn/project%20dry%20ice/Gfx/gfxcontainer2_side_done.JPG

i'll tell you my secret of working that fast.

last week i found a way to heat it up a bit so i don't have to heat it up with my torch( oxigen lasts 30min @ full power)

going to make another gfx container for firefoxx, i will use the pin(nail) design on this one too.
if its done i'll demand posting results here:D

i'll show some pics if i have any :)

i bought a clocksaw so i can make a nice round hole and put the tube into it

its like harleybro did but he only drilles holes afaik, harleybro maybe you can give it a shot too m8 ;)

Well actually my fav. is still the one with the maze4 bottom. It seems to work best. I actually have a new cpu container and gpu containers on order. With the sounds of them I don't think I'll be needing to ever build another container (at least for myself) ;)

Hey Jort how thick armaflex have you used to this GFX container ?

Peter

Jort
07-06-2005, 08:50 AM
2.5cm armaflex :)

piotres
07-06-2005, 01:43 PM
2.5cm armaflex :)

WOW that is REALLY THICK :slobber: :toast:

Have you done the ln2 run with this 2.5 cm insulation ? Does the armaflex "dry" on the outside, with -196 * C Ln2 ??

Why are your tubes so absurdly long? They look like they are WAY more than 1' in the pics and 1' is more then enough...

ZX7891
07-06-2005, 07:04 PM
Yeah they do look a little long.

Jort
07-06-2005, 08:42 PM
:brick: can i make my tubes as long as i want please

all the tubes i make are 40 cm, and i feel good about it.

thanks to remind me the 100000 time that they are long.

harleybro
07-07-2005, 08:56 AM
I believe longer would help with a smaller diameter tube the reason being more downforce on the di or ln2. Also a way to achieve more overall mass. :)

Jort
07-07-2005, 09:47 AM
FINALY

can now everybody STOP saying the tube is too long, if you personaly think its too long just cut it in your mind :)

tnx, now i go one with my LONG tubes:)

peace,

Jort

Jort
07-12-2005, 10:11 AM
couldn't use it at the weekend, so its on delay:)

but someone is going to buy the same from me:)
firefoxx is the new owner of the next design within 2 weeks :)

Apocalipsis
07-12-2005, 02:19 PM
next design? which one? I'm very interested on this, comon tell us :stick:

Jort
07-13-2005, 07:48 AM
i mean this with the nails:)

the old was just drilled holes

greetz,

Jort
07-13-2005, 10:05 AM
other copper?

please explain:)

Jort
07-13-2005, 11:43 AM
i hope you don't mean messing or some "legeringen"

Waus-mod
07-13-2005, 01:36 PM
Yellow copper or somethin i asume

JWB
07-13-2005, 01:40 PM
i mean this with the nails:)

the old was just drilled holes

greetz,

can you tell us the results you get using the different two? Whats the temp difference between drilled holes and nails? In my expierience driled holes have been much better, they seem to hold temps more stable and more cooler. Like to hear what you get, Thanks :)

Jort
07-13-2005, 08:45 PM
negative, nails is mutch better about holding load.
calculate, around 60 nails of 3cm long and holes of 0.5cm
wich one has the most surface?

the containers has proved to be more effective then the one with the holes.
like i said above i haven't got any time to test the gfx container.

Waus-mod
07-14-2005, 06:56 AM
To bad. Let us see some testing with the container then :D
