View Full Version : Can't install XP64!!!?

I've had this same EXACT problem since the very first xp64 beta release. No matter what I do I cannot get it to install. I have made sure the disc writes with no errors thru nero yet I still cant get it to work!

can you try to format the partion before you start XP setup? Maybe you can avoid the problem that way. gl :)

doesnt help. then I will get errors when copying the files saying they are corrupt or missing when they really arnt...i retry and they work all the way up untill driver.cab then it fails on that no matter what.

use a different CD/DVD-ROM, that might help

to burn the image or when i try installing? I only have one burner but I think I can try using an ancient cdrom to load it from

try out the cd rom, to me it sounds like XP64 doesn't like your cd burner during install

yea it is the cd burner...it gets around that error if i use another one...

too bad its only 16x and is slow as :banana::banana::banana::banana:. ill wait to install xp64 when i get a different drive lol

Maybe if you have ide&sata hard disks something is confused. Try to install without ide hard disks.

Something u could try is putting it in a different comp as a slave drive and loading windows from there. Once its done loading, putting it back in the other comp and finish loading drivers.
