Looks cool in there, but the two fans are a bit ghetto modded on there.

maybe getting a Zalman Fan Bracket would be best?

good effort though

Ghetto mods are teh rule, only if they work. I remember hanging a 80mm fan off my PSU with fishing line and blue painters tape. Now that was ghetto. Your setup there is at least a bit better constructed.

ahh yeah ive been pinged for hanging fans around :p

back in the good old days when i had a Ge4 mx440 4x, i tied a sunon fan to hang of it as it was a passive heat sink - but i tied it with string :p haha

then when it was taken into the shop for some reason they said it was a fire hazard and i replaced it with cable ties

yeaaaahh good times

Ghettomods do pwn as long as they aren't hack jobs like some I have seen. :nono:

Nice way of hanging the side case fans, Ugp. Never wouldn't have thought of that.

I actually took them off and did something else alittle different to bring more air into the case. I'll take some pictures of it and post them.

How about a making a big window with the fan mounts?

Seeing as it was in the photoshop section I was expecting to see a comp in some other setting. Always thought it would be nice for a wallpaper to have a pic of my tower, lightning striking it. :D Others could have ice dripping off or some much. Anyone know of anything like this?

I actually took the fans off because they were not helping that much. I love Zip-Ties as you can tell!

thats prolly cos they would be right up against the sidecase (if you fitted it)

perhaps you could make a spacer to move them inwards a little and let air get drawn through the fan rather than being blocked by the sidecase

I dont use the side of my case...it always stays off...so no that isn't the problem. I am thinking about building an open case...make it all out-of-the-box!!! LoL. It would be P.I.M.P.

hrmmm those 3d designs are pretty cool - did you use 3ds max? or studio 4d? something like that..

i was wondering a couple of things -

do you know how to make wholes in other objects? for example having a rectangle, and then you have a whole in the middle?

also how did you make the grid a gradient? i know how to make grids but it disipates as it goes from white on the right to transperant on the left.

hope you can help me out :)

im guessing he didnt make it, as i think ive seen that WP somewhere already.
looks like a Bryce 5 render to me (i use 3dsm a lot)
for holes in objects, you want to use the "boolean" functions
that 2d work looks like it was done in photoshop. to make grids like that, you cant use a gradient, but you can use a pattern

Nope, Boolean is dirty, and it makes bad polygons. You should make the box, make the cylinder, put the cylinder in the box and kill the intersecting poly's, then manually create some nice quad polys to close the object.
