Ok, I'm going to build a system and was wondering if a P4 2.8B is worth the extra $200 over getting over the P4 2.4?

Thanks, I don't know much about Intel's...I'm an AMD man that is coming over to the "Dark Side"

This is going to go into a Shuttle SB51G

Price/performance-wise? No, the 2.8 isn't worth double the price, because you won't get double the performance at any point.

If you're chasing the highest overclock, though, get the 2.8. You can't raise voltage with the SB51G, so the 2.8 will definitely achieve a higher overall clock at default voltage.

Good luck...
