Pretty interesting. Looks like it was the PSU that was causing the problem this whole time and not the power cord.

Yeah, that is why they added a GFI to the power cord, there was nothing wrong with the cord in the first place.

one of my friends said that the new power cords stopped modded xboxes working. wat a noob. or is that true?

you dont send your xbox in to get a new cord. you just filled out a forum on the m$ site and i think they send a new one out free pending on your Xbox serial.

if it is the PSU how will MS go ahead in fixing the problem? that if they DO go ahead with it!!!

Also, if they do, and they recall XBOXs to be refitted with a new PSU wonder what they would say about the chipped ones? :s

they say F u and you dont get a replacement. only a retard would send a chipped xbox in anyways.... :stick:

If you know how to install a mod chip, you know how to repair it. All you need to do is melt the current solder holding the power socket onto the board and add a little bit more. It should flow easily because the joints already have solder on them.
