Is anyone surprised?

In my own testing, 03 gives gains upwards of 70% and 05 gives ~99% boost to framerate. Why? These apps are (for the most part, no flames please) severely GPU limited.

That said, even with 2x 6800U the framerate drops below 30FPS at times.

Untill They Make Dual core cpus which can handle one vid card per core, i dont think ill be going SLI/AMR/MVP anytime soon.

At least untill i can afford a 24" montior with 2048x1536(w/e that res is) needing enough VPU power to run the highest Demanding Game at 100+ fps...

With a LCD at 1280x1024, i get 100+ frames in most games with quality on, so im happy for now.

But yea.. As said above, im not Shocked.. Sli to me is numbers, it doesnt make me think its so much better. Plus ive been happy with ATI cards. So i guess i hooked myself.

First, I read somewhere of this "MVP" moniker. It is false, ATI is calling it AMR. That's all I can say on that subject.

Triangle setup is still very much a serial task, having multiple CPU's/cores will not affect the situation greatly, they don't "pair up" with CPU's are you seem to imply. Read about the Unreal3 engine (from our own news, shame on you Dissolved ;) ) http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=2377&p=3

yeah, AMR sounds better than MVP.

the Biggest surprise is none of the top twenty in 05 scores are from the biggest o/cers in the world. I would think Charlie, Fugger, Oppainter, PC ice, Macci, or even somebody from XS to represent us in the FM hall of fame!

only Onepagebook and MDZCPA represents Xs very well with SLI.

Well, when AMR rolls around, having 2 R520's in AMR will be uber own4g3
