Malves I noticed that in your guide, the vagp and vdimm mods don't use the tiny smd 10ohm resistor that Hipro uses. And... well It seems easier to not have to solder the little resistor but my question is why does Hipro use them if they are not required?

It's not they are or not required. It's just the way I do is a little different. You can ask him the reason he uses that, 'cause I have no idea.:) Maybe to stabilize voltage? I really don't know, bro.

Sorry for using this thread to ask questions about your guides Malves but I have a doubt.

In the VTT mod, the part where you outline the trace to cut; Do you mean to cut the WHITE line that is next to the numbers 012?

Nope, the brown line close to the white line. It's really thin and you may need a magnifier to see it....I do!:D

You may or may not need one, its pretty safe tho bc thers not any traces really close to it :) Trust me tho, the vtt mod works great. Ive done countess IC7s w/ that mod

Thank you :D . I was looking at your site months ago and just never decided to do anything, now that I'm buying a 754 system I plan on seeing how far my DFI will go. Thanks for getting this back up...instant bookmark :toast:

edit: Looking at southbridge modding to keep sound...is the one in LastVikings post on the dfi's the one you guys would use. It involves removing on smd and adding a trimmer if I remember right. If there is another I would be interested in knowing. Thanks alot guys.

having chatted with Malves last night i present to you:

http://www.malvescorner.net

the .com is being domain squatted :(

I have recoded the site to XHTML v1.1 so it will work correctly on any and all browsers.

Its sitting on one of my dedicated web servers in the US, its on a 10mb burstable port so it should be quite fast

:)
