nice score on stock cooling :eek:
Asus 6800GT 256m DDR3 @ 425/1200 (24/7) stock cooling
P4 540J @ 4209mhz (Cooler Master Hyper48)
Abit AS8
1gig OCZ 3200 Rev2 @ 257x16
Antec TP550w
:)

*absolutely no tweak*
if someone could tell me what's the "LOD" tweak maybe I could break 15k :stick:

If you're using RivaTuner to tweak your card, you'll find the LOD adjustment sliders can go up to 3. By modifying the registry value as a Power User, you can bump it up to 15.

I'm curious could you be able to tell me about how much of a difference does going from 3 to 15 make in terms of points?

It varies from card to card and game test to game test, so I won't be able to give you any numbers. What I can tell you is that it's not going to be a very pretty sight.

What ever happened to getting the highest score while having the best-looking 3dmark run too :rolleyes: Compromising quality for speed EVEN after buying an X800/6800 to me is mind boggling and I dont think it should be encouraged.

Hey Supertimor, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to break 15k with your brand new p4 640 :up: whats the ETA on that ?? ;)

update @ 430/1220 & 4256mhz
dunno why but LOD 3 (in RivaTuner) gave me a REALLY BAD score (12.6k)
maybe i did something wrong
but...I prefer it clean...without hax ;)

temps = 32-33 idle, 56-57 load (1.6v :sofa: )
wich they'll get back 630 & 640 chips soon (won't buy a 650/660)
