It looks like they made incorporated a vertical PCB board for the mosfets w/ extra cooling.... at least that's what it looks like to me. Pretty neat idea!

I've only read one review (http://www.tbreak.com/reviews/article.php?id=168) , but they said it was OK. The DPS didn't help overclock at all, so that was very disappointing. :(

Yeah but it probably helps in reducing load and keeping stable voltages. So I don't see how it doesn't help.

it's probably also replaceable
a common failure point on motherboards is the voltage regulation circuitry
this used to be done on older platforms, pentiumpro and the like. it would be a piece of cake to replace the vrm board instead of the whole motherboard.
