Ive asked what this was for and they said this:

All users are receiving this. Someone had posted bad html code on the
XS
forum which caused users IE to crash. We are advising all users to
make
sure they have the latest IE patches updated.

I received 4 of these emails, am a Firefox user too but I don't think the emails take that into account, seems just like a blanket email to all XS forum members.

I haven't recieved any of these kinds of mails.

I forwarded this topic to the Admins of XS, to check if something might be wrong with the email adresses.

Yes, I sent the email to all users. Will check on why some received it multiple times and others not at all.

:stick: If using a later OS or IE 5 and up Windows update should take care of all patches.

Good idea, this sounds too much like those bank scam Emails...."oh you have a problem you don't know about so go to the provided link & give us your info".

:D Didn't receive anythin' so far but I believe it is caused by the incident with the now banned guy who postet a virus to the XS server, came in with the IE......... :toast:

It was no virus, just legitimate HTML code that (unfortunately) crashes unpatched IE.

No email here, either.
