Some of you said that P4PE performance is §§§§ehouse. Has the problem been fixed with the updated BIOSes yet ? I"m thinking of getting one. Dumping this gay Gigabyte board (only 2.7Vdimm  )

Never had probs with mine! this 1.8 can do 170 with just 1.525v, it's the best DDR board I've seen around with digital audio onboard and a giga LAN! :)

I know it doesn't have stability problems. I'm just asking how it performs against other boards....

Btw send your CPU to me :p

hehehe, I'm not going to compare apples to oranges, P4PE supports 333 and pc3200 while others still uses 266 and pc2100 :)

I think these 845PE boards rock.

Check out the Iwill P4HT (845PE) board. It has vcore to 2.0v and vdimm to 2.9v.

There are good reviews of it at overclockers, cluboverclocker, thenakedreivew, and vrzone.

I have it. It's my first Intel rig, so I really can't compare, but I think it's one of the finest boards I've had.

However, I think I got a bogus C1 stepping 2.4B. It won't do over 164fsb. It hits a wall and has a small window between 157fsb at default vcore and 164fsb at 1.85vcore.
I was thinkin my PSU was holding me back, as the 12v rail on my Antec PP412 400Watt was at 11.83, and dipping to 11.63 at load. I tried an Enermax 431 watt and the 12 volt is perfect, never dipping below 12.06, but I get the same results.

Right now I am running it at 156fsb and memory at 4:5 195/390Mhz at 2,5,2,2.

Yep, positive. SL6EF. I was on a mission to get it. I visually looked at the retail box before buying it.

I'd like to try another CPU just to rule my mobo out.
Anyone know if Fry's will allow the return of a CPU after it's been purchased? This one, I can't return unless it's defective. It's not from Fry's.

Why spend more? 2.4B = 1.8A .. same multi, and 1.8 C1's started to showup hitting over 3.4Ghz+ .. mine does 3Ghz @ stock voltage..

Not easy to find a good 1.8A in Australia. Besides the price difference is too small. I'd rather get a 2.4B. Has better resell value. I usually don't keep my CPU very long :p

Oh, you're on the other side of the world, I take that back! hehe

So if you put a 1.8A in, you have the same multi's and the FSB options are still open up into the 200's??
Not only that, you then get the 3:4 memory option.
