Lost the stability I had @ 180fsb on my KD7 and Radeon 9700pro by playing around with a bunch of stuff after installing DX9. Tried all kinds of stuff to get it back. Wasn't happnin. Set MD Drive Stength to E0 (which is pretty high) and I've been playing UT2003 for the last hour and getting my a** handed to me which is another story. However major heat on my Ram. Quite warm, though hot may a little overstated, to the touch. Never did this before. In fact the empty slots are a little warm. MD controls the signal intensity across memory bus if I remember right. Not speed or voltage, but "strength". Too early to reach any definitive conclusions, but may have serious potential.
