i reached my max on this x850xtpe without vmodding on 3dm01, so i decided to move on over to aquamark3 thinking i'd get 100k easy. of course, i never benched am3 before so i didn't realize how hard it was going to be.

i googled a for tweaks like the ricky tweak applicable to aquamark but there was nothing but stuff for nvidia. 1st run i got 98k so i got really excited. that was 8 hours ago, it's 10 am now on the east coast. i'm kind of wishing someone had told me that aquamark was mostly a bench for nvidia cards.

here's what happened, 3rd or 4th run i got to 99953 and i thought i'd be done with it in really quickly. the next 7 hours was occupied by countless reboots because of vga lockups. of course, the each reboot took forever since my dfi won't complete the bios post sequence every 3 or 4th boot, cold or warm, doesn't matter. 100k was beyond the limit of cpu/gpu stability by just a hair but i finally got it. unfortunately, before i got it, my eyes started bleeding and my feet fell off because i had to keep the window open to get cold air into my gpu memory heatsinks.

i learned alot about oc'ing from this experience. i think the ordeal took so long to get that my twinmos UTT gained a few mHz from burning in. hopefully, the eyes and feet will heal.

here's the data on that final run:

am3 100163 (http://arc.aquamark3.com/arc/arc_view.php?run=554713401)
fx55 @ 3237 (stock vapo)
twinmos utt @ 2-2-2-5
x850xt pe @ 662/687 (stock volts, watercooled)
