Why is win2k slower in Uploads & Downloads than the winXP? Me don't get it

I love my win2k.

Every time I try downloading and uploading data and winXP is always faster... by at least 10% or more. Why is that?


Can't I make my win2k run faster than winXP? I get 41~ 44k upload with winXP and get 36~ 38k upload with win2k in Winmx server. :confused:

maybe XP manages internet connection better than 2k?

i tried some of the tweaks they offer for the win2k connection but no go.... 0% increase in performance. :\

Except XP is 5% slower in everything else.

Have you removed the other types of connections from your connection manager? You only need TCP/IP support these days, but Win2K installs like 5 differnt styles for you automatically.
