hi guys,
have some easy questions for u guys, need some help here.
im gonna get myself a 60watt pelt.
the problem is, the seller told me the pelt is rated for 5V.
what would happened if i pump more volts into it? say 12V?
im planning to use this pelt to chill water in my reservoir, like this ->http://www.overclockers.co.nz/ocnz/review.php?id=02cool0water000peltier0heatsink0103
so the pelt would be cool by air like the said article.
ps:my supplier also have stock for 40W pelts rater for 3V-5V, sounds weak so i didnt opt for it.

any ideas and inputs are surely welcome! :)

12v wouldent be very good for it to say the least... tec chillers suck and a 60 watt is not strong enogh anyway

well im not targetting for xtreme temps here, as im living in a hot climate country... room temps goes about 30++ celcius. so im thinkin if having a chiller in the res would help lower the water temps to low 20celcius

With the hotter room temp the pelts will be harder to cool aswell.

60watts just isn't enough to really even make a dent. Maybe if you chilled the water before you turned your computer on you'd be able to run for an hour or so before your temps got warm again. This would be insanely hard to control condensation like this though.
