Hello
So I just got in my new DFI nf4 ultra-d and my 3000+ in today, and m 6600gt arrives friday hopefully
and am waiting tell atleast friday for my video card, so i've been overclocking my ram

But I run into really problems...
Every 5th or so reboot hangs on me and i have to restart the comp again, I only have a 20 pin connector where the 24 pin is supposed to be, how bad is this? :\

Also, when I try to boot into windows at anything above 3.2v on my ram, I get blue hardware failure screens almost every time, but sometimes it will boot in

At 3.2 my ocz vx does 220
But at 3.3 i rarely get in windows long enough to test to see if its stable
Usually my voltages are .1volts lower than I set in the bios if this matters(checking using smart gaurdian)

Is this just a power supply issue?

If so, would the OCZ Modsteam 520 be a good choice? The big advnatage of it is that I could buy one locally, instead of waiting tell monday if I were to order one from a site
Also, would the 52a rating on the 5v rail of the modstream help out my ram due to the 4v ram voltage being on the 5v rail?

Or Am I better off spending an extra ~$60cdn and getting a powerstream, if it even sounds like a PSU problem at all?

I also live in an order part of my city that is known for running lower than standard volts (most say around 105 constantly) Would It be a good idea to buy a UPS?

Thanks ;D

(No vid card hooked up to it right now cause im using a pci cirrus logic!! :D)

You maybe right, get a better psu.
Check your voltages at load with a multimeter to be sure.

Yeah, I dont know where any of the testing points on this board are though :\

Just measure on the 4-pin molex connectors from the PSU or on the 20-pole connector on the mobo.

how do you check the 20 pin at load? isnt it plugged in? o_0

Just stick the (...argh, I can't find the word....is it probes?) pins of your multimeter into the top of the plugged connector. So no problem to measure at load ;)
