I have a question. Look over the setup, it looks easy, but the swifty block does not use a back retention bar like on the 6800 cards. Can I get a few pics of someone X800/9800Pro card mounted from the backside

The block mounts the same as the normal MCW50 correct? If so you do not need a bar on the backside of the card.

Ya I guess so. First time mounting a GPU W/B. Also can I just use Dielectric grease, or do I need to coat it with something eles/in addition to?

I would bet that the grease would be enough, those blocks stay pretty well sealed with that neoprene boot that comes with it.

Just wondering what card you are using this on?

Just wondering what card you are using this on? X800XT PE I hooked it up to a small rad with no fan and it heated the water up pretty quickly, and did not get very much frost :( But With my new rad, 2 140CFM deltas and a good pump. Hopely I will get good temps :)

EDIT it was with no heatload

Is that with the stock 80w pelt? What PSU are you using to power it? I am just wondering cause people have said that a tec that small wont really do much on the new generation cards.

Please post your results back here when it gets all set-up :D.

I do have it setup. So far with about 1.5Volts, I have a max clock of around 610 on the core, Idle at -5c-(-10C) and load around 25-30C. I can see why this 16Volt 80 Watt pelt can not nadle the heat load, but I still think 30C is better than any straight wate, plus it only cost around 10-15$ more for the pelt. Also its like 80-85F in my room right now. My Cpu temps stayed the same, and its was easy as pie to install the pelt. The whole condensation had me a bit scared, but eveything is working great. Pictures and benchies will come when my moblie claw and TCCD Kit comes it :)

That is great that your CPU temps stayed the same. I was worried when I put my swifty block in my loop ( I have the same block as you) that it would screw up my CPU temps. Congrats on the new toy man.

I personally LIKE the mcw-50t. It's soo easy to setup and works relatively well! No condensation, either.

C I think I need a bigger pelt, but I am not sure I want to go throught the hassel of changing the pelt and finding a 24 volt PSU

nice job.

finished my gpu peltier setup today.
but i got no temp probe.

tested it without gpu and it got icy ;)
now put it up the chip and isolated the stuff with neopren.
its workin :)

Ya It looks like 640 is the max. But It looks stable for 24/7 I ran loops of 3dmark @1600-1200 4AA 8AF did not know it could look so good

you could try a VGPU mod which might bring you higher in your clocks. What happens when you go above 640?

I did the pencil mod and I brought my voltage up to 1.7Volts which was required to get 645 stable. Right now I am temp limited and need a bigger pelt.

Ya uclajd what temps were you getting with just the 80w tec on there?
