I was wondering whether or not it will be possible to make an SLI Setup with a Modstream 520W PSU. Reason im asking is because im building a new rig and im planning on using 1 GFX at the beginning and then another when i can afford it and im planning on powering it with the Modstream 520W. However, on the pictures i have seen of the Modstream i can only see 1 connector to power a PCI-Express GFX so will i be "dead in the water" when i buy my second GFX?

Hope you can help me out with some info here =)

You can use converters which change 2 molex connectors into 1 PCI-E connector.

How many drives / fans / Cathode tubes, etc. are in your system? The 520 modstream is gonna be right on the edge for SLI unless the rest of your system is pretty basic. The 520W powerstream or the 600W would be better.

Would the modstream be a good choice for the new nf4 boards that are coming out with the 4v vdimm since that supposedly runs off the 5volt rail?
The modstream 520 has 52amps on the 5v rail, would that make a noticeable difference you think?

The Modstream series would be just fine for any of the new boards as long as your not running SLI or a lot of extra peripherals (multiple optical drives, 3 or 4 hard drives, lots of lighting, etc.) The extra peripherals and/or dual Vid cards put a lot of load on the 12V rail and the Modstream doesn't have as many amps available as the Powerstream does.

If I made that to complicated: Yes the modstream would be great :D

I have a powerstream 520 running the system in my sig and it works great no problems at all. I was a little worried at first as well as i was thinking that a 520w PSU was a little weak but this is one sturdy unit.
