Just been looking at the HT site of intel which can be found here http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/ht/ and noticed that they had added a new paragraph on the bottom ... and by god was i impressed to see what it said :)

The IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® 4 processor and IntelĀ® 850E, 845GE, 845PE, 845GV, 845G and 845E chipsets may contain design defects or errors known as errata which may cause the product to deviate from published specifications. Current characterized errata are available on request.

now what does this mean :stick:

How about getting slightly less expensive RAM but a better mainboard ? :)

mate the boards are probably the best ones you can buy right now, at the end of the day i am planning on selling them in 6-9 months max and thus i wouldnt want to mod them in any way.. As far as Nforce2 is concerned i have found the ASUS one and it is nice but it is roughly twice the price of the other two mobos (128 pounds compared to 68 pounds) and only offers VCPU to 1.85 and VDIMM to 2.85 :(

Unless you can recommend me something nice :)

nForce2! thats what i'd get if i was buing an AMD right now. Its realyl good, AND it isnt a via POS.

2nd choice for me would be an AT7-MAX2.

I have an A7V333 right now, pretty decent, but expect an OC limit ofr ~190FSB with a CE chipset, lower for CD.

my $.02
