Movie Avatar??

any one know how to cut a little bit of a movie out, make it really small (avatar size) and save it as a GIF. I have this great clip from a movie i want to use, its an Mpeg tho!

yea i just kinda wanna take this little clip from a movie and make it my avatar, i know you can do it (i have my current avatar from Pulp Fiction) but i didnt make my current avatar and i dont know the author personally to ask him

alright ihave a new question, what prog can i use to convert an mpeg movie to frames, i found a sweet gif aimater and now i just need the idividual frames, what prog can i use??

i use photoshop image ready to work on movies

i know macromedia flash has an export as gifs, and you could import the movie into it, tell me if you want me to do it for ya?

sweet really, ill go get the trial of flash now and try it, but can you resize the movie image??

With amage ready and flash can they work on mpeg files??

Virtual Dub can make GIFs out of movie parts you selected.
It also may convert formats, but you have to have codecs installed.

The issue you'll have in the end is the small size limitation in terms of kB. :fact:

If I was you, I'd prolly use Fraps to capture the footage into avi and then Video Mach to convert the film into stills and then maybe use PSP7 to make the gif. Good luck m8.
