im new to the p4 world..... was always into amd, i got a 1.4ghz 1600 oced too 1.9ghz on air. but thats besides the point.... i want a somewhat cheap p4 chip that will hit 3ghz on air... any suggestions? btw the mobo im going with is the it7max2 ver 2 and geil pc3500 just would like some suggestions on a good chip... so far i got the 2.53 2.26 not sure which others.. just would like some suggestions

you should buy the P4 2,4 C1 stepping at ATAcom.com
the C1 stepping costs 10$ more and it´s worth the money

The 2.4GHz C1 stepping will most likely do what you want. You migh get lucky and do it with a 2.26.... but not nearly as likely.

Is there a C1 stepping 2.53? And all the 2.66/2.80 are C1 correct???

Yep, there are c1 2.53s out there somewhere... the 2.6 and above are all c1.
