I am in dire needs of new RAM, as the latest BIOS for my mobo lets me select 14 or 17 for a multiplier. unfortunatly my current ram tops out at 250. period. so i am looking at either ocz or corsairs PC4400 RAM. both have sets that run at 2.5 CL at those speeds! i was lookin to see if anyone has experience with them and would like some more "reviews" before i decide on one.

Corsair's PC-4400C2 rated at CL2.5 is TCCD with Brainpower PCB. It got great reviews but I haven't seen anyone here using it, g.skill seems to be winning.

As far as your intel getup goes, I'm under the impression that TCCD doesn't work that well in Intel rigs.

The OCZ should be Hynix B chips which, if I'm not mistaken, are doing rather well in Intel rigs.

I would chose G.Skill LE PC4400 2.5-3-3-7. They are also based on TCCDs and they seem to do very good (at least on AMD, not relly sure what they'll do on Intel, but I guess that the G.Skill guyes tested them on AMD and Intel setups as well).

I had purchased Corsair XMS in the past and it performed like crap compared to my OCZ EL Plat rev 2. Corsair is nothing special compared to newer modules like G. Skill, not to mention VX.

The OCZ PC4200EL Platinums are TCCD on a brainpower PCB. They are quite expensive, but work very well, from what I have seen.

@zeebs, could you be more precise?
My XL have reached 285 ( one stick) in a MSI K8 Neo2 w. Winchester 3200+

G.Skill is using TCCDs in their LE and LA line.

Had a pair of 3200XL that would only do 227 out of the box. I was pissed. OCZ took me up to 300mhz 1t w/o any problems. :2cents:

I'm guessing he (or is it she?) might do a review or something to see which is faster?

Well they arn't really comparable, which is why I'm confused, it depends what ur aiming for. Tight timings you go vx (winbond UTT) high fsb, you go Gskill (tccd).
