welcome.

If they have TCCD its quite possible they could do so, more likely in 2x256 configuration than 2x512. Will depend on your system a lot also.

Corsair 3200C2 v4.1, 3200XL and 4400C25 are all TCCD and come with BrainPower PCB. They're pretty much the same thing, maybe the 3200C2 is a little worse. All should do 275-280 at 2.5-3-3-7 in 512MB sticks. My 2X256MB 3200C2 does 285 at those timings by the way.

Welcome to XS overfusion :toast:

If you´re lucky you´ll probably reach 280-290 :)

Thanks very much!!!!. :) :) :) ....

My future systems (next week  ):
DFI SLI-DR
2x512 Corsair
POV 6600GT
AMD 3000+@2500Mhz v.core default

I have had an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe, but it wasn't a good moderboard for overclcok, it was more stability at default but more instable over 250Mhz HTT

C2 v4.1 is Samsung TCC5 not TCCD

newer XL is either TCCD or TCC5, 4400C25 is for sure TCCD on brainpower PCB. I would spend the extra and get the 4400 if you want corsair for sure. Mine topped out at 280 in testing at 2.5 3:3:10 timings. Might go a bit higher with better board.

4.1 is TCCD, the 4.2 is either TCCD or TCC5. And i doubt TCC5 can do 2X256MB 285Mhz 2.5-3-3-7 memtest stable.

They've got it at the top of the list, in what is, in general, a very educational write-up on TCCD in general.

I do have a question though. If I price the stuff over at Newegg, why is the 4400C25 w/Platinum Heat Spreaders $325 and the version with Black HS's is $265. Is that based purely on demand? That's crazy.

Welcome to the forum :toast:

At first I was considering those, but as I cannot get them, I'll probably get G.Skill (which IMHO is better anyways).

The G.Skill is better than Corsair, they arrive at 620-640Mhz

wow! lots of G.Skill model numbers...

any suggestions or is it completely dependent upon exactly what one is hoping to achieve? let's just assume a combination of medium-grade watercooling, new DFI-SLI mobo, and FX-55 CPU. Would that help narrow down the field?
