Something strange happened to me. At first boot with EP 4PEA+ I found the HT voice in the Bios. Once restarting it was disappeared.................how is it possible????.
My Cpu is a 2.4B C1 (SL6EF).
"Someone" said that probably also CPU with lower frequency than 3.06, if C1, would be able to activate Hyper Threading.....I can't just try it :( :D

The story that started it all was a guy with and ES P4, quit wasting your time for now. Maybe in the future.

Looking forward to hearing about results with your 4PEA+. Post results.
I'm getting the Iwill P4HT tomorrow and am looking forward to my first flirtation with an intel board. I got a P4 2.4B C1 as well.
It will be interesting to see how we do with these new C1's on these new 845Pe boards.

I'll test mobo in the weekend. At a first look non so good voltages :( . I'll change PSU.

Is that with memory at 4:5, for 229Mhz?
Pretty darn good.
And that's a B0?? Not the C1? What default speed of B0?

yes 4:5. The default speed of B0 is 2.4Ghz.

3300Mhz with a 2.4B B0? Impressive. What did the C1 do?

With my P4 2.4B C1 on an Iwill P4HT, I can get to 2952 at 164mhz, 205Mhz mem, and complete 3dmark, but I have problems restarting and booting out of the bios. If I shutdown and let it sit it starts up.
My Pi score is 51 for 1M at this setting.
I think my PSU is holding me back. The 12v sits around 11.80v, regardless of Vcore.

10x.
C1 needs high voltage. I've changed my PSU but nothing!!!!!!
I can reach 3028Mhz with 1.8V, I can run 3DMARK but not SuperPi...................I'm working :)

Probably I'll test another C1

I still can't get this P4 2.4B C1 any higher. For 164FSB it requires 1.85vcore. I've tried another PSU--an Enermax 431 Watt and an Antec 400 watt.

The CPU seems to have a small window between 157fsb at default vcore and 164fsb t 1.85vcore.

What a damn drag. You and I have the bad luck to get a bogus C1.

Hi guys,

I have a kinda stupid question, I bought myself a 2.4B yesterday, how can I see it's a C1 (I know my voltage on my 'old' gigabyte irxp says 1.5 while it should say 1.525 when it's a C1), is there any indication on the label on the box?

my first benchies (only for 15 minutes 'cause I was very tired) gave me 155 fsb at standard voltage which is 2788 :
