Nice job. Now you just have to figure out a way for it to give your mobo more than 4.0V

he just desoldered the exisitng pot and then added some lines between the pcb and the new pot to reach the 5 1/4" bay

hmmm you can unsolder the display and add wires so you can add the display to the front of the case, no? :D

well yes, but it would be quite a few more wires. ;)

Supertim,

What's with that stray piece of heat shrink tubing towards the booster?

Some bad measuring perhaps? ;)

Forgot to ask........

What are the specs on that pot you used?

RES 10k +- 5%
LIN +- .25%
the shrink is to remember the "main voltage" wire
don't know how to explain it (in english) sorry :stick:

10k 30 turn, thanks for the info.

The shrink tube thing was of course a joke, just wondering.

/me stares at first modded booster, (reversed sides , search for my post on it) thinks about mounting LEDs and pot on separated PCB about 6" away from booster   (need mad scientist smiley :hehe: )
Another thought - could the FETs be done up the same way w/ 16gauge wire - get the big heat source out where it could be cooled better? Any signal issues (would shield wires of course. Help supply those extra amps that TCCD craves?

(Okay now move this to mod section :hehe: )

NO ...WAY !

The DFI NFII has OVP and will Smoke if you were to try it... ;)

But TEDY...I have my DFI NFII Vdimm Modded and can get up to
5.0+v

Nice work... with that pot and booster lcd mounted in a front bezel, now that would be perfect!!

Yup............Clever idea.......... ;)

One question though.........What about EMI...?.......You know.......How it "reacts" with those long cables into the box with all those transmisions in there and so....?......... ;)

Moving the pot wont make much odds as there is little current to generate EMI, and I dont think the booster itself will be affected by anything it picks up..

Moving the FETS from the booster PCB may have an effect on other things. But I doubt that will make much difference either TBH (its not like PSU molex or ATX plug wire locations affect overclock) ... oooh... maybe they do, I bet nobody ever tested it.

Don't be so sure about that coz the Mos-fets' GATES are already TOO sensitive by any kind of transmisions.........and I don't talk about only Boosters Mos-Fets , I'm talking about ALL Mos-Fets out there as a electronic component.......Remember that we are talking about some hundreds of MHz's runing all over into the box......The box suppose to be the "sealed" between them and us.......It is easy enough for a Mos-Fet to oscilate by itshelf in there and then......what....?.... ;)

they are only 12inch long ;)
