Getting 2x256 of one of these. I have enough money to buy a ddr booster if needed

Thanks.

the VX only comes in 2 x 512. I would get the VX. The Rev. 2 are great but only get to about 270-275 and at 2.5-3-3 timings. If you get good sticks of VX they can do 260-264 2-2-2 which is MUCH faster than the rev. 2 sticks due to their very low latency.

oh yea sry. If its just one vx, wont it preform slower than rev2 because rev 2 is dual channel.

Then the OCZ Plat rev2 would be faster of course.

Yes, correct. I was just clarifying that the VX was only in 512mb sticks. HOWEVER... the Twinmos SP chips are the same as the VX and they come in 2 x 256mb for very cheap.

plat rev 2 overclock fine with only 512mb?

not only plat rev2 but most ram perform(OC) better with 2x256 set. I assume it's the problem of on die memory controller(lack of flawless support for dual side ram)?

correct me if I was wrong
